Are we helping people or becoming stumbling blocks?

John 5:10 so the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured, “You can’t work on the Sabbath! The law doesn’t allow you to carry that sleeping mat!”

The Pharisees witnessed a mighty miracle–the healing of a man who hadn’t walked for 38 years–and a broken rule–the law against working on the Sabbath.  They chose to overlook the miracle and focus on the broken rule.

Do we, as Christians, get caught up in the sins of others and forget that they are human and need deliverance.  It’s not about abortion, sexual orientation, adultery, or any other sin.  It’s about loving people to Christ.  We are not here to judge people but to love them.  It’s easy to get caught up in rules and forget about people.

Are we living as Pharisees or people who represent Jesus to those who desperately need Him?  Don’t let rules become a stumbling block for people who are need God.
