1 Corinthians 13:4-5a Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way.
Love Suffers Long (Holy Relationships)
Jesus demonstrated patience when dealing His disciples who were often slow to understand His mind. He shows the same patience with us. We also need to be patient with others especially those who do not know Him.
Love is Kind (Holy Purposes)
From healing the sick to feeding the five thousand, Jesus showed remarkable kindness to those who would eventually kill Him. Since we are seeking to become like Him, we, too, are asked to be kind to everyone even though they may be ungrateful or hateful.
Love Does Not Envy (Holy Heart)
Christ did not seek after material things. Neither should we. We should not only be content with what we have but we shall also be generous to those who are in need.
Love Does Not Brag (Holy Speech)
We are called to put others first. We are not to be boastful to others as it shows our pride. We should also encourage others without judging them.
Love is Not Arrogant (Holy Service)
When we serve others, we should be acting in humility. We should not act as if we are better than those we are serving or refuse to do those tasks we consider demeaning or beneath us.
Love Does Not Act Unbecomingly (Holy Behavior)
Our behavior is a reflection of God. If we are to be like Christ, no matter what others say or do to us, we are to act with grace and do and say only things that will glorify God.
Love Does Not Seek Its Own (Holy Desires)
Jesus had many opportunities to serve Himself rather than others, but He chose to put aside His own position and pleasures in order to complete the task His Father gave Him to do. Nothing is more important than glorifying God.

Matthew 19:30 “But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.”
You have loved me with a perfect love. You have washed and forgiven me of my sins. I love You for first loving me. Teach me to love like You love. Amen.
