Christ’s Love and Holiness (June 30, 2013)

1 Peter 15:16 “As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

“Lifelong Goal:  In Christ you will be set apart from world as holy.  You will demonstrate Christlike love in your relationship to God, His people, and all humanity.” {p. 186 “The Mind of Christ Workbook“}

Christ’s holiness in us begins the process of separation from the world.  Our growth is measured by Christ’s righteousness.  Christ’s love in us begins the quality of grace in our lives.  Our growth is measured by Christ’s sacrifice.

[Read Matthew 7-9]

Matthew 7:12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.  This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”

Father God,
Jesus exemplifies holiness and love.  I desire to be like Him in these qualities.  Show me how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to be made holy and to practice love and of my inner being.  Amen.
