Characteristics of a Christlike Mind Part 1 (May 2, 2013

“We are not merely to resemble Jesus. We are to think His very thoughts.” {p. 14 “The Mind of Christ Workbook“}

Developing the mind of Christ is a lifelong process.  It takes an act of the will, prayer and self-control.  A person will not be completely successful this side of Heaven, but it is still the goal of every believer.

There are six characteristics of the mind of Christ.  In today’s study, three were discussed:

  • Alive:  Choosing the spiritual over the flesh
  • Single-Minded:  Paying attention to the commands, the person and the ways of Christ.
  • Lowly:  Understanding our position under the greatness of God.

[Read Matthew 4-6]

Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Father God,
I bow in Your presence because You are holy and worthy of worship.  You are preparing me for service in Your Kingdom.  I want to be moldable in Your hands.  Thank You for the privilege of becoming like Your Son, Jesus.  I do so want to become like  Christ.  Fill me with Yourself so that I may experience the abundant life You came to give. Amen.
