Isaiah 8:12-14a “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe.”
It’s the fashion today to be prophetically minded. Everywhere you look, it seems, events are leading up to the return of Christ. With so much emphasis on the end times, it is easy to see evil everywhere and become afraid and forget who is in control. God, through Isaiah, encourages us not to be afraid of what’s going on or live in dread of the future. We don’t know everything. We shouldn’t live in fear of people, but we should have a holy fear of God. Even though eventually the end times will be upon us, we can rest assured that God will keep us safe in His arms. This may not including our definition of safe, but it should be comforting nonetheless.
Your Word promises that Christ will return for His people. In the meantime, we try to anticipate how and when, but Your purpose for us is to live in the present and be Your witness to the world so as many can be saved as possible. Give me the boldness to share your hope of salvation with everyone I meet. Amen.
